The view from here

Mindoro Terrain

Mindoro Mountains from above

The wonders of technology never ceases to amaze, the world grows smaller as technology gets bigger. Yesterday I had the chance to fly to San Jose, Mindoro and Antique via Asian Spirit’s new Jet BAe 146. It may sound like a promotion but I appreciated it more when it took only 20 minutes to arrive in Mindoro. Back then when we went to Pandan and Apo Reef via Land and Boat, it took us 2 hours to go to Batangas, then another 2 hours to Abra de Ilog then another 5 hours Bus on a dusty and rough road to Sablayan.

Impressive Terrain

What truly impressed me was the terrain of Mindoro. Amazing is all I can say! Seeing it from above I could view the mountains of either Mt. Halcon or Iglit-Baco (if I’m not mistaken). Beauty can be deadly as they say, as Mt. Halcon is the most difficult mountain to climb here in the Philippines, but many people still dare to conquer it.

More landscape

After Mindoro, a few shots we went back to Manila to board the plane again bound for Antique. Again with the new jet it took us only 45 minutes passing by the islands of Mindoro on the right and Marinduque on the left, then seeing the dog-boned shape of Boracay passing to Panay Island. Capt. Kintanar, is a class Pilot. He has the smoothest touchdown on any plane I’ve flew. Antique has some interesting landscapes as well but I’m not familiar with the attractions there yet.
