About the Discovery tour: This is not a Carlos Celdran or Ivan organized “Heritage” tours. Some of us, including I, have never been to the so called places mentioned in the highlight, so I call it “Discovery” since that’s the point of it all.

Important things to bring:

  • Bottled water (very hot on the crater)
  • Wide brimmed hat/ Bush Hat/ Cap
  • Trail snacks
  • Extra set of clothes

Deadline of confirmation for attendees will be on Nov 30 (Wednesday). We need to finalize headcount for transportation pruposes.

Thank you

  • hi ferdz! it’s been a long while i haven’t visited! i love this new(?) design. Not to mention those photographs…very informative, interesting.

I’d love to go, but i’m not quite sure about the date. I’ve been to the crater in 2000, beautiful view i was surprised at the color yellow. It was a summer’s day, too hot to enjoy.

Anyways, hope you gather up a great team of adventurers…Take care and enjoy!!!

  • [...] I’ve always have been interested in trying to hike the crater of the volcano. Finally I was able to do this. The Taal Discovery tour was supposed to take place November last year, but was cancelled due to volcanic activity at that time. Well it pushed through with the help of Miss Ruby of MFPI and 27 participants from Accenture. I was surprised at the sheer number as I was not used to leading such a number and was keen more into taking photos and not having to worry about them. Well Miss Ruby did well in organizing with me on the background for support and Benjie of Accenture overlooking his invited participants. I also thought it would be ok since this is only a daytrip so it pushed through. [...]

  • just read this now, i am late by two years! :) any chance that there’s a group out there willing to do this again? also, is it a difficult hike? am not the most athletic person in the world :(
