Car vs plane on a speed race. Whose faster?

Whose faster, a race car or a plane? If you asked me that I would definiely answer “Plane” no doubt. In the recent Phlippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark, one of the highlights in the event was the Car versus a plane race. So who do you think won?

Car moves in ahead at Heats 2 and 4

Well fortunately I was able to go behind the scenes on this production and manage to get a lowdown on the presentations on this event. I managed to meet both the drivers of the plane and the race car, some models and coordinate with the events manager on how this would be presented. It was really interesting to be part of it, even if we were just asked to assist their main Photographer to take more Photos of the event in the runway.

I thought this was really exciting while we were running off towards the midfield in position to take the shots by the runway. Then suddenly I heard the announcement from the tower.

“Attention to the 3 Photographers and the model in the field. We are not responsible for your safety. You are in a risky position as the car and plane may possibly veer of their tracks. I repeat, we are not responsible for your safety”

Ok, that wasn’t discussed earlier. Can I back out before I become a possible roadkill? Hehehe.

Anyways, it was a hard shot. I tried to do panning shot then immidiately switched to Burst mode to get as many Photos as I can. But I really didn’t get that really satisfing shot that I want. Still it was an exciting experience for a Pro-bono project.

i’d say the plane… well it really depends on the driver and engine. i watched one feature also between a f16fighter head to head with a porsche or mclaren i think… i forgot who won.

At least you were able to move around (even at the risk of dying for the ultimate picture).
It seems they assigned me a personnal security guard and I wasn’t able to move a lot.

Congrats! You got 3 fantastic pictures AND you are still alive !

Who was declared the winner? I still have a pending bet of 10,000.00 pesos.

Oh! I almost forgot to ask you. What happened with that gorgeous young model who was with you in the middle of the field

hahaha! nai-imagine kita paikot-ikot sa gitna ng field trying to capture shots. ang gwapo ng kotse, pormado talaga, kaya pala tinalo niya yung plane sa 2 heats
