deja vu! same thing happened to us also in sabtang way back holy wk din in 2004! on our way back to basco nacapsize din ang boat sa pier pa lang, we got stranded, with only the clothes on our backs and the rest of our stuff in our hostel in basco. it also ruined my camera! we bought underwear at the only store in the whole of sabtang and stayed overnight @ the fisheries school. pinagsabihan din kami na bawal magbyahe kasi holy wk! it was such an experience we got to witness their procession and holy wk rituals.. in a way being stranded was a good thing! ganda ng place talaga, batanes is a must see!

How beautiful talaga Batanes is. That path beside the cliff is awesome! Hahaha… nasigawan pa kayo. But I guess one would really turn superstitious in such a magical place.

I’m well impressed by the effort that you put in to your posts Ferdz… Hats off to all of you (I presume that you have a crew and you’re not doing all these by yourself, don’t you?) who take this much risk to educate us about the country… I feel like a foreigner already, not knowing that places like these actually exist. last year both tricycles we got in zambales broke down with only seconds of difference. and it was on a good friday! hehe

When I was in college we studied all the indigenous filipino houses in History of Phil Architecture… I sure hoped you blogged then! We used to spend uber long hours scouring library books for images of these houses! hehehe
