Your narrative is right on, though you might have gotten more historical information if you had a guide with you. The small steps were meant for the gods - this means the angkor temples were built for the gods and not for man. 

Bayon, Ta Phrom and Banteay Srei are other notable temples to visit.  =) Nice work. Keep on traveling and writing.</description>

There  is nothing similar to the architecture in Angkor Wat.  It has such a rustic but clean look.  I&#039;m sure the 4 hours just breezed by when you started clicking away.  :)</description>
