Bloggers Boracay Bound
Inside Seair’s Dornier 328 flight to Boracay
It seems an ambitious feat to bring some of the Philippine’s travel related bloggers together, but at the weekend, January 11-13 2008, around 13 bloggers gathered together in the paradise island of Boracay. This wouldn’t have been possible without Abe Olandres of Yugatech bringing us together and Microtel Inn and Seair Airlines for taking us there. It’s great to know that companies lately regard bloggers as an important part of media, thus including us in their marketing plan.
Microtel Inn Resort, our home in this paradise island
I will be writing the details in the coming days, all I can say, it was a generally fun fun trip even with weather being bleak at times I will write about my first flight using Seair, experience staying at Microtel Inn’s Boracay Resort and and some palate pleasures from restos like Zuzuni. Of course it wouldn’t be complete without the fun, fun, fun at the beach and the Island’s Ati-atihan Celebration.
Zuzuni’s Horiatiki salad, a taste of Greek in Bora
For the meantime I’d like to thank all the bloggers who were there with me in this escape, which I hope would be one of the many in the future:
- Abe Olandres of Yugatech
- Noemi Dado of About My Recovery
- Laureen Dado of Flail at Life
- Ivan Henares of Ivan About Town
- Anton Diaz of Our Awesome Planet
- Eric Dee of Byahilo
- Gail Villanueva of Kutitots
- Marc Villanueva of SheeroMedia
- Melo Villareal of Lakbay Pilipinas
- Eugene Villar of Lakbayan
- Karla Redor of RockersWorld
- Fernando Martinez of ShutterBox
Will be back with more posts. See yea later!

Oh my … Awesome!
I was thinking about our bloggers’ meet here; usually it’s only held at shopping malls, no traveling to any other states in the country. Wish we had traveled but I guess most of us are still students so we hadn’t any time.
I love the photo of the pool and the hotel at the backdrop; pretty sight!

Hi, Ferdz!
Well, please visit Iloilo and you’ll be surprised… It is one of my most admired place and I always feel at home when I’m in Iloilo.
Visiting a friend in Cavite this Sunday and I got all of his internet connection all by myself. I haven’t had internet connection since the entrance of 2008 because of busy schedule. I wanted to see blog updates from fellow bloggers but simply cannot. for that, I apologize…
Believe me, the whole Sunday was spent only reading through your posts. I missed a lot of it since the end of December last year. I digested Boracay Day 2: Microtel, Puka Beach and a taste of Greek to Siquijor: From underground to the highest point of Siquijor Island where I left off last year…
I wish I was able to go with you in that Boracay adventure. Not that I would like to see Boracay once more but it is with the awesome feeling once you’re in a group with similar hobbies and interests. Anyhow, you’ve got nice photos and it is as if I already traveled with the group. It took me from 8am until 2pm to read and marvel those writings and photographs. YOu’re a photography and writing genius, Ferdz…
You’ve got great travel plans for the year! I hope you can make it all. I do have mine too but I won’t reveal it - not just yet since my schedule is driving me crazy. I wish I can go with the same adventure as you and Oggie
San Sebastian Basilica and San Miguel church is also in my list in the greater Manila destination. I just need an appropriate time to visit all of these…
Pyrotechnique shots in Makati is awesome. It’s a great post to start for the year…
Amazing Anawangin trip for P800.00 only? Of course, I know you’re serious. But I can’t just simply believe that costed it all. I remember it took me more than one thousand pesos for a short destination like my Bataan Adventure. Amongst your best of the best destinations in 2007, I like your Basilan photo of a boatman…
Lastly, congrats for being cited as Wikipinoys of the Year for being included in the list of The Best Designed Filipino Blogs of 2007! Way to go, Ferdz…
