Ironwulf meets Marian Rivera

When it comes to local showbiz, I am the last person to ask. I’m not really updated on the who’s who in local celebrities since I rarely watch TV, local programs even. Though I do have an idea on what’s the latest series out, I never got to sit through them. But despite this, there are top local celebrities that is hard to miss with their numerous commercials, posters and billboards. So when Blue Water Day Spa sent an invitation to introduce their two new endorsers, Marian Rivera and Piolo Pascual, I thought that this is a very interesting marketing strategy and would surely cause some buzz since both are from two rival stations.

I learned about this launch a month ahead and only got to know the two endorsers when they sent their official invitation. And since I like spas and a very good massage, this would be a very interesting event to witness aside from actually meeting these two stars.

Sahara Oasis Massage

First part of the program, they introduced their two new spa therapies. First off was the Sahara Oasis Massage. It’s a 60 minute rejuvenating massage intimately connected with Ancient Arabian massage rituals. This would cost Php 950.

Chocolate Mud Slimming Therapy

Their second new therapy is the Chocolate Slimming Mud Therapy. Now that sounds delicious isn’t it. Kind of ironic for a slimming treatment. What’s keeping one from eating it after. This therapy also last around 60 minutes which aims to sculpt the body by improving the skin tone and texture. Cost would range from Php 900 to Php3200 depending on the area, from Arm only to a full body therapy. I’ll get to try this one later since I won a free treatment GC for this.

Piolo Pascual

Ok, I’m sure the lot of media there were looking forward more to the two celebrity endorsers they have than the actual massage therapies introduced. And the first one who came out is ABS CBNS’ top talent Piolo Pascual. He looks like how he looks in both TV and in print. Though I was expecting him to be more taller in person.

As expected, the whole room turned into a paparazzi mob. They played a dating game first for the ladies in which a girl from a magazine media won. She was awarded with an intimate moment in a tent at the left for a few minutes. When they got in, I saw numerous media reporters got into the tent. Now, was that suppose to be intimate? We asked if Marian was already there to host Bianca, she said she’s on her way.

So I went outside first to chat with the other bloggers, Marc and Gail while I grab some cake. When I heard that they were about to introduce Marian, I approached the stage happily eating a couple of cake. Suddenly I found myself being volunteered by Noemi and fellow bloggers to be a contestant in the dating game. I thought, what the heck, this could be fun. In fact I was only the extra contestant since the 3 chairs had already been occupied and had no intention of winning at all.

When Marian Rivera came out, it was another foto fest. Marian looks lovelier in person. She’s petite but her eyes is simply mesmerizing. Anyways, the dating game went on and I got a few correct answers (with a couple of nudge from Sophie) and the last few questions which were real guesses. Surprisingly I found out I won. hahaha. I never expected that really and found myself more starstruck with Marian up close. Almost speechless.

We did get inside the right side tent but was ambushed by media men from GMA to interview Marian. Geesh! The interview took place until the time was up. I think I was too starstruck at that time not to be a lot more aggressive with the given time thinking about it after. I only got to say a few sentences to Marian and wasn’t able to invite her to my exhibit. Hahaha. Anyways, that was my brief moment meeting a celebrity. If ever by chance she stumbled upon this site, she is invited to my upcoming exhibit. Maybe next time new media people like bloggers can bring bigger cameras and video equipments to wrestle out with these big media guns.

ferdz, you will not believe this, (am writing this at 11:28 am) but on the drive to work today (around 8 am) I was wondering why you don’t snap local celebs photos, particularly PIOLO PASCUAL and I thought wouldn’t it be so COOL if you have him on your blog. Hah! sometimes you get what you wish for :=)

Pretty cool post and since I am lucky today, I am running out of here at 5:30 pm straight to a local convenient store to get me some lotto tickets

she’s pretty, ganda ng Pinay talaga. Just wondering why many pinoy companies promoting what they have in other places (like Sahara Oasis Massage), the mere fact na we have our own HILOT naman.

Well…congratz ferdz..you got the chance to meet Marian..she’s so adorable. Massage is good for rejuvenating the physical specially if you are bombarded with stressful activity.
