So true Patsy. Not many Filipinos have discovered the rewards of backpacking. Kala kasi nila na you need lots of money to travel, that’s why this blog also encourge as many people to explore. What’s the title of your brother’s book?

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Have been reading your blog and it’s been a great journey!
The TV exposure will encourage more filipinos to backpack- it is affordable but very few know about it.
My brother made a book about his travels to several countries around Southeast Asia mainly to show other filipinos
how affordable it is. It’s a pity though about the Philippines- we have so much to offer but we’re not on the regular backpack circuit. :^(
