Sagada: Morning Unwind

Sagada Morning View

Sagada Morning View

First off all, my sincerest thanks to all those who greeted me on my birthday last week. My apologies if I couldn’t reply back earlier. Braving the category four storm, Marce on the night of my birthday, September 11, was a bit of an extemporaneous decision. Somehow I wanted my birthday to be different this time around. So after dinner with my family, I called up my friend Lagal[og] and dragged him on a road trip up north to Sagada.

I somehow find myself in this Northern Highlands whenever I feel the urge to just relax and think out things. It’s my fourth time in this wonderful place and I have always enjoyed going back here. Photography takes a little on the backseat as taking photos wasn’t a priority this time but to just enjoy the place more. In fact we didn’t venture more beyond the town itself but enjoyed the really cool atmosphere, the soothing sight of the mountains and the pine trees, coupled with moments of introspection on what might hold for the coming years.

I thank you once again for coming along with me on my journeys in this humble blog. I won’t pretend that this blog has shared a bit of fame over the years but I will always remember the reasons why I started this blog - to simply share the joys of travel and photography. And hope people would be inspired by it.

sarap din talaga to just chillout and let photography take a backseat for the meantime.
i always appreciate your advice - tama yung sinabi mo na share the joys of travelling and photography.
i think i should always remember this because this is the real reason why i went into blogging in the first place.

this is a nice way to celebrate your birthday, Ferdz. I wish I could just call someone out of the blue and dragged him/her to anywhere I please. well, i do…it’s usually me who’s not that easy to drag. birthdays are always an exception to the rule. it’s funny but i never even saw my family on my birthday. it’s like the older i get, the lesser time I spent with them. faux pas. anyway, belated HB uli.

    lawstude - boracay island
    rayts - kota kinabalu

astig ang birthday sa sagada. lamig at kape lang ang katapat nyan. salamat din sa advice na paminsan minsan sarap din na bumyahe lang. less photography. kakarelax nga din yung ganyan.

Hi Eugene! Maraming salamat! Pansin ko nga madaming me birthday during this month.

Salamat din sa pagsama Oggie even on the last few hours. Looking forward to your sponanous captures as well.

Hi Rayts, medyo close knit kasi ang family even if my other siblings are not around we try to celebrate pa rin. Although lately I’ve been away a lot lately rin.

Salamat sa greetings Dom, Onga no. Ang mga gala sa lakwatsa din nag bi-birthday. I guess it’s a way to celebrate na rin or give yourself a gift of travel.

Hello Kyels! Thanks for always dropping by here after all these years. It’s ok on the greetings, better late than never.

Onga Millie! Kaladkarin si Oggie, actually we had sort of a plan na rin to go here but with the category 4 storm Marce looming up north it was a gamble so we brushed off the idea. Then suddenly we just decided to go ahead na rin.

Naku Erick, I’m sure with Joel, photo safari yan and will sure to take home great captures as well. Looking forward din on your trip. Will be posting details as well that might help you guys when going here.

Thanks Photocache! It’s not actually an easy place to visit but I really enjoy the place whenever I visit there.

Hahaha! Naku ok lang Ellen. Basta nakakain ako ng madaming pizza at busog ayus na yun.
