Camiguin: Merry Christmas

An Organic Xmas Tree

An Organic Xmas Tree

This is wishing everyone Happy Holidays! Sharing this interesting Christmas Tree we found in J&A Fishpen/Travel Lodge in Camiguin. It’s an organic Christmas Tree made up of dried shells and empty crab shells. I thought it’s a very creative and resourceful way to make use of old shells. The star at the top is made from dried fishes. There are even parols (Christmas Lanterns) made from shells and dried fish in the area.

The Christmas season not only brings many gifts and table-full food to feast but also a lot of trash and garbage. So make sure to consider our environment when celebrating this season. Recycle plastics used for grocery, recycle gift wrappers, and don’t waste food. Take care of our pets, some pets don’t like loud noises from fire crackers so keep them calm and safe inside your houses.

  • This is a clever way to urge people to go green and recycle. Merry Christmas Ironwulf.

  • That’s quite an interesting tree! Speaking of being environmentally friendly this holiday season, party plates, glasses and utensils made of STARCH are now available in the market! My friend was so pleased to see them in the shelf and immediately bought some. They were actually very good quality, as sturdy as plastic. It’s biodegradable, recyclable and 100% environmentally friendly!

    Anywoo, enough rambling… merry christmas!
