parang pinas din hano without the busy street and the smokes. i must say that the monks on the internet perfectly showed almost everything now is being embraced by technology. great photo essay as always ferdz.

Alot of those jr. monks plays game on internet during their off hours. Most of the time, monks doesn’t wander around town much at all. I guess things are different these days of age. I miss Luangprabang.

Naku Og! Ibang klase lifestyle ng mga Monks dito. They have luxuries like gadgets on their belongings as well. Active din sila sa net which really surprised me. Monks here are very educated.

Now thinking about it Dom, that would be interesting to add. I should have asked them their facebook accounts.

I never got to buy as many souvenirs as I’d like to Photo Cache. I was keeping close watch of my budget and weight of my pack

i think going to th sakkarin is something that i really am inclined to. the solemnity of the place sounds great. i wish i had the chance to befriend monks thru facebook. hehehe… thanks for sharing some of the stories ahead of these posts ferdz.

im not sure if you were able to check how much those paintings costs. looks like i want one just in case some goes there.

yay, it’s luang prabang na. it really looks like a place where time stood still. although seeing the monks in the internet station makes me think that despite the little effect of time on the appearance and development of the place, the people are not averse to using technology. will await your next posts with eagerness
