Malaysia MegaFam Chronicles Summary

Malaysia Summary

Malaysia Megafam Chronicles

It was 8-days of fun and discovery at Malaysia. I’m grateful to Tourism Malaysia for showing us around and giving us the opportunity to get to know the country more. We were even lucky enough to experience their Merdeka Celebration. While we went to a number of places, I could say we only scratched the surface and aroused our curiosity to explore more. Another reason to trackback on those places in the near future. As my usual practice, here’s the summary for the Malaysia Chronicles from August 28 to September 4 2009.

Visited spots and route in Malaysia

Route: Our main base is Kuala Lumpur and we toured several areas within the city. Outlying areas we visited were the Batu Caves, Sunway Lagoon, Mines Wellness Resort and Genting Highlands. The farthest we got up north is the Cameron Highlands and down south there’s the World Heritage Site of Malacca.

Itinerary:

Day 8

  • Fly Back to Manila

Happy Foodies Posts:

Budget: I couldn’t say much about the budget since most of the trip cost were shouldered by Tourism Malaysia. I only spent at least P5000 for pasalubong (treats back home) and some souvenirs.

Sponsors: Many thanks again to Tourism Malaysia Philippines. They are currently having a contest where you could win free tickets to Malaysia every week until December 9. Their grand prize is an ASEAN PASS (Read a little info here). So check up and join their Facebook Group Tara na sa Malaysia for updates.
