I’ve been there in their early years when they used to have fiestas and the houses around were a home to many families. My uncle used to be an engineer there… unfortunately I wasn’t able to visit the mines at that time… hopefully when I return to Baguio, I’d be able to…

Haha! Hi Eunice! Yep, it's a fun experience but true, gold dust is the closest one can get here. Hey Raffy! Yep, I think this is unique to Baguio. Somthing I have never heard of before as well. Hehehe. Got to the same conclusion as well BertN. It's a fun experience but not something I would do everyday.

Wow! They now have a tour of Balatoc gold mines. I went there on a field trip when I was a sophomore in college. I found out early enough that’s not what I wanted to do in life LOL.

hey that’s an interesting expedition! My relatives living in the east coast of Malaysia once also tried to dig for gold near their village just for fun, cos some ppl really found some gold, but u dun expect it to be in chunks LOL. So they really did find some gold dust lol. And my uncle gave us some…. er… as I said, it’s just gold DUST. lol
