Benguet: A Touch of Europe at Eurotel Baguio

From Mines View Park, we headed to Eurotel Baguio where we’ll stay for the night. They were gracious enough to sponsor a night’s stay here since I wasn’t able to join their Blogger Bliss event last time. Eurotel Baguio is their first branch out of Manila from their 6 known branches. Located just a few streets away from Burnham Park, it was easy to find especially from it’s red and green geometrical whatnot exterior.

The interior was a contrast from the outside with its spacious lobby leading to the dining area. It was warm and inviting. The huge paintings, textured walls, large comfortable couches and stylish wall lamps does invoke a feel of European elegance even for a medium range hotel as this. While we wait for Erick to catch-up, we partook of the buffet breakfast which usually comes with the price of their rooms. It was a good selection with the usual Filipino breakfast that changes from time to time like langonisa, hotdogs, sausages, fried rice, dried fish, breads and spread, fruits and cereals. They do have good mountain coffee as regular fare according to Lagalog.

We got the Euro Suite 2 which is their most expensive room at P3300 good for 3 persons with one single bed and one queen sized bed. We took the lobby lift to the 5th floor and navigated its 2-3man side-by-side narrow corridors to our room. The Suite was surprisingly good looking. The lighting was dandy, the earth colored sheets has nice pattern, the foyer has a photo mural of the London Bridge along side the rooms lone window. The bathroom is spacious too with a tub and hot shower. The room size just suites right with the design and the furnishing, not too big nor too small. The only gripe are those glass bricks on the wall which seeps in light at night. If you’re the kind whose sensitive to light when sleeping, this can be annoying.

We did appreciate many of it’s amenities like the mini-ref where we stored some drinks, LCD TV with Cable and cool air-conditioning. There’s wifi in room but there was a problem with the ISP that time according to the manager. We were informed they have a Function Room that can fit up to 300 pax and also a Spa which both we weren’t able to see since we had no time.

The night’s stay was comfortable and the staff and service were pleasant. For the price if I’m not on a tight budget, it’s good option especially if you’re sharing the cost with their lowest studio room at P2100 and expensive Euro Suite P3300. I would avoid the inner rooms without windows though, I get claustrophobic easily. Location is very good as well which is its key point.
