We

e finally decided to take the car. At first we were planning to take the bus knowing that a group of 9 wouldn't be comfortable with all our things in the car. But since it was reduced to 8 and I was able to really gauge Marco's Revo when I we met that night before our departure we just decided to take the car last minute. And so it was officially a road trip to Pangasinan.

None of us has been to the 100 islands. Ironic since it's one popular place, well that might probably be the reason as well. But while planning on where to go a week before, we were just looking for a place we could relax for a while and not so expensive as a minor precursor for a major trip next month. The islands is also a protected area under the NIPAS and also a Geological Monument due to it's unnatural geology. Knowing those, we thought that it was a place worth checking out as well, and also to cross it out of our list.

It was 11:30 pm when we met at KFC SM City Annex. We fixed up our things so people would be comfortably seated. I chose to seat at the back so I could stretch my feet comfortably. After everyone was comfortable enough, Marco started the engine and we drove of to Pangasinan. Marco really wanted to try to break his Revo on long trips and driving to the tip of Pangasinan was an opportunity to test his machine. It was a sound trip through out the ride. Varying from OPMs to Marco's playlist of a bit R&B and lite-rock to the awakening music of "RENT" the musical. By 4pm we stopped by this Caltex Station when we realized we missed a turn way back in Urdaneta. We're already in La Union! We took a break and some snacks first at the station before we continued. We lost 2 hours there but it was okay. We went back and by 5am, Marco could no longer drive so he switched with Tonette so he could rest a bit. Good thing it was no longer dark. We asked around people for directions to make sure we were on the right track. And good thing by 7am we already reached Alaminos, Pangasinan. We parked by McDonalds and had our breakfast there. After which we headed to the Market to buy our Provisions.
