e broke camp and were on our way by 9am. Again our pace was fast to moderate. We weren't in a hurry this time so we took a few stops once in a while for some photo ops and scene appreciation. And before noon we were at "Ate Fe's Eatery' where we washed up and took some cold drinks. Since there were still enough time we decided to head to Tagaytay for lunch. At Jijo's suggestion we ate at "Diner's" where there was the special bulalo. JP said that it was somewhat a reward and was actually dreaming of the food we were eating at that time. I guess it was the pinnacle of the climb. It might have been a bit over the budget but everyone was full and satisfied.
Though it was the third time I went to Batulao, it was the only time that I was able to really appreciate it. It must have been the good weather, it must have been the nice sunset at the peak, it must be the laid-back star gazing in the evening, it must also be the company, which proves that it's not the destination but the journey, or it must have been being unselfish and try to do things for others once in a while. But for what ever reason, climbing Mt. Batulao is sweeter the 3rd time around.
