t was afternoon when the event finished. We were supposed to sleep at the church but they have a very long service (6pm to 9pm). I figured that since these people don't have anything else to do and there is no other entertainment available, the church song, preaches and dance would serve as their entertainment for the night. We decided to set-up our tents and sleep outside, in front of the church. After our hearty dinner and conversations, we rested in our tents.
This is one night we couldn't forget. It was around 12:30am when I looked at my watch when it happened. In the silence of the night, we were awakened by screams of a man saying "Lumayas ka, lumayas ka demonya ka Satanas... Diablo... Lumayas Ka!!!!!" going around our tents. It was quite terrifying, fortunately we heard another man, who's probably a local who intervened. It was a strange and mysterious night. The next morning, we learned from Andrew who was able to peek from his tent, that it was the Pastor, holding an axe, who was screaming. Up until now, we were wondering if the pastor saw someone wandering around our tents and was just trying to protect us or he had thought that Pete's loud snores was an indication that an evil entity is possessing him, thus his exorcism. Anyways, it was a freaky night.
