t was around 1pm when we finally reached Sagada proper. My first impression of it was, "it was just a little town situated at this remote side of the Cordillera Mountains". There was quite a crowd there, since it was a long weekend. We first had our lunch at Masfere Inn and it was quite expensive. Cho told us that most of the lodging houses are fully booked, but since she had a contact there, they already have a place to stay. I told her that we would be looking for our place and should meet later at 2:30pm in front of the Municipality for the Sumaging Cave Exploration.

We hurried off our lunch and bought a map that cost around 20bucks. As soon as I scanned the map, I realized that what I saw was just the tip of the iceberg, in every side of the town there were a number of places to explore. Since all of the nearby places are full, we decided to look at the further ones. After some canvassing we found some empty rooms at the Greenhouse Inn. It's a large wooden house with nice cozy rooms. Amenities are ok. I took a single room for 130pesos a night, the "Valdez" couple took a room for two and the "Lost Girls" took a two bedroom room and just shared space for all of them.

By 2:30pm we were all at the Municipal Hall. Cho was gracious enough to register and pay for us as well. She already took 3 guides to come along with us since we were many of us. On the way to Sumaging Cave, I was able to spot Gary of Escape Outdoor Club, roaming around. Both of us were surprised to see each other there. It turns out that he stayed there for another day after his officemates had left the day before so he could explore the other places he haven't been. It was unexpected but it was comforting to see a familiar face in a remote place like Sagada.
