fter at least an hour of walk and hike off-road, we finally reached the viewpoint at Kiltepan and it was one amazing view of mountains and terraces. We stayed there for a while to bask into the surreal and dreamy quality of the scenery. Chris told us that it was the Tupu-an village terraces. Jaza was asking silly questions if he ever had a chance to court a girl at that village. Chris, for a boy of 17, has a well built physique for his age, which is quite common among provincial boys. He said that marriage between tribes is allowed, sometimes, if there is a festival or event, other tribes are invited to join. Chris is from the Kankanay tribe. At Kiltepan there's also this tower I was eager to climb, unfortunately they took down the ladder just recently because of recent accidents.
We walked back in town. Chris suggested that we hire a jeep for 500 pesos for the group so it would be much faster for us to go to Bangaan (not to be confused with the Bangaan in Banaue), which is the jump-off point towards Bomod-ok Falls. I guess he also noticed that Raza couldn't afford to walk more. We agreed that it was more convenient as the jeep would even wait for us until we get back from Bomod-ok falls. After buying snacks, we headed on. It was a half-an-hour bumpy ride to Bangaan .
