More Avilon Zoo Info

Wow, didn’t know this Zoo was featured last Sunday in Korina Sanchez’s show. So that’s why a lot of people are looking for it. Well here’s some gal’s comment on my earlier blog, she (thanks Lorna) has this site with Pics of the area and very helpful directions as well:
I took a lot of photos in Avilon Zoo and have created a simple website to share some of them (www.geocities.com/avilon_zoo). Construction is still on-going, but site is already viewable. Yes, Avilon Zoo is great, really worth the trip. And yes, you won’t get lost, there are a lot of signboards soon as you “land” in Montalban. There are 3 routes to Montalban (now, Rodriguez, Rizal). One is via Marikina-from “Bayan” area go to JP Rizal Avenue straight to San Mateo, the next town is Montalban. Another is via Commonwealth going to Fairview-right turn to SandiganBayan, then along Batasan Pambansa gate, right turn to a road leading down to San Mateo. Third route is from Commonwealth Litex-pass Payatas, and about 15-20 minutes travel time, you make a right turn to Montalban Hway. Down the road, pass the bridge you see Mercury Drug and take a left turn. From there, you get to Avilon Zoo in less than 15 minutes. (Btw, I live in the area.)
Well hope this helps. Try going there when it’s not raining so the animals would be roaming around. If it rains, it’s cold, if it’s cold they sleep. Hehehe. So enjoy your time there folks, entrance is Php 180.00 per person.

Thanks for posting my how-to-get to Montalban piece. I have a correction though,instead of “Mercury Drug & take a right turn”, it should be “take a left turn”. Right turn is going to San Mateo. Sorry about that. Thanks also for the tip on the refer tool.

Soon to be resident kami San Isidro and San Rafael, Rodriguez Rizal. Im not familiar pa sa mga lugar ng rizal pero naalala ko ung sinabi mong mercury drug, hopefully maka-bisita kami sa Avilon with my barkada. salamat sa google..lol, ganda ng website mo ah, ur travels, bilib ako! Ganyan din gusto naming gawin ng barkada ko, travel to different places hanggat kaya pa ng mga paa namin. Keep up the good work.

The Tel. no. posted which is 945-5960 is not yet in service how can i get the confirmation of all the information i want to know about Avilon Zoo. Hope you can give me the correct tel no. because we are very interested to tour in Avilon with my foreign friends.

may fieldtrip kami sa avilon zoo sa montalban, rizal kahit ludak lubak ang mga dinaanan namin msaya pa rin tska dumaan pa kmi ng ilog exciting nga e!!! tska over 500 kinds of species ng animals ang andon and about 7.5 hectares ang laki noh!!at aabutin ka pa ng 2 hours para malibot ang avilon zoo.
