This is turning out to be fun!

My first magazine work

I have always believed that you have to follow what you really want to do in life, what you yearn and dream of doing. There are situations and forces in life that somehow let you sway from what your heart truly longs. Work, responsibilities and peoples sometimes just keeps you away making your daydream into a reality.

It’s been two months since I decided to go on my own. To walk differently from the path I usually tread on. A major change in my career. In reality at that time I was truly scared as I won’t have the same luxary as before. In truth I could stay at my former job, as I’m earning considerably a lot from people of the minimum wages. But despite the stable company and good pay, there are just some things that doesn’t really make you happy. And the zest of the job is no longer there. I felt like a zombie, going to the office to WORK, with all your creative juices on lock and staring at the monitor but only dreaming. Come 5pm I just leave, with all those baggages left there.

But now, I must say that being on my own is turning out to be real fun. Seeing the product of your hardwork in print is really something. Today I just got to see the final output me and my co- Art Director have worked on for the past month. The issue, we spent 3 days and 3 nights working on at the office. Truly it seems a hardwork but I didn’t seem to get tired that time. Maybe because I was enjoying the process. And now it seems everything is just starting.

I am quite satisfied at the moment. There’s a big grin at my face :D whenever I pore through the pages of my first baby in print. And my name written on the proper credits. And everything is just starting. This week it’s time to travel once again and I don’t even have to pay the expenses :D. Now my job is what I really like to do.

I really have to thank GOD for this, my friends who supported me in my decision and my family of course who is always there to support whatever I do and also my really cool boss there at the office who gave me the opportunity to do this. (Wow! Parang awards) and especially those people who read this blog. Thanks! :D
