Recently improved and added some new functionalities in the site. Dropping the Categories and using WordPress 2.3 new Tags system.
Originally, I planned on redesigning this blog again but I feel the layout is still good for my purpose so I stayed with it for now. What I did though is to add some new functionalities available in WordPress latest release of Version 2.3.2. They have now included easy inclusion of Tags on each post. I felt the use of the tag system would be a lot effective in browsing the archive of this site so i dropped the categories system. Aside from that, I updated some of my template tags to make use of the new ones. It’s a tremendous work since I have to peruse all 460++ post I have one-by-one and add tags and excerpts accordingly.
So here’s what’s new/improved:
- Use of Tags instead of Categories on posts
- Added Tag Cloud on front page and archive page
- Multiple Excerpt Entries with Thumbs (if applicable) on the archive page
- All pages are XHTML and CSS validated
I’m still looking into which functionality I can add and some little design tweaks here and there. For the meantime hope the improvements would help you browse through the sites
