Of Drugs, Junkies and a Night of Food Trip

I just got home from our recent Food trip with Lakbay. Yeah a food trip I wasn’t expecting for the night. We went to QC after one Rod invited us all to “Mister Kababs”, one of the best Shawarma Eateries in the metro. Eds and I decided to go but first we went to Vidge’s office which was much nearer to us and decided to chat for a while, while we wait for Marco to arrive. It has been some time since we have seen each other. Like Christmas party I think.

In one of our discussions we were talking about drugs and how they effect people and how people would do the most “Pathethic” (in my opinion) things just to get themselves high. Those devices they make to induce themselves into a sort of frenzy. I never know how or why do people get involve in drugs, curiosity maybe, or some sort of “Pakikisama” (camaraderie), but to get themselves into something that they know is to be a junkie makes me think. For many times I have been offered those things but never did I accept even a single zip even to satisfy my curiosity, I guess I just don’t need them all this time. But I do admire those people who were able to got out into it or were able to control themselves from becoming junkies.

Anyways the night was great, getting together for some stories was really nice somehow. Especially the food. Our first stop first was “World Toppings”, tasted their Crispy Adobo Flakes, which was quite satisfying for it’s price. Then we moved on to Kababs and ended our food trip there. It’s nice to get along with these people once in a while. Hear what their future plans are, share their thoughts and experiences and laugh once in a while. It’s been more than a year since I’ve been with these guys and I’mreally glad to have met them somehow as i think of it now.

People of the Morning Rush

I was on my way to the office this morning and saw that I still have a lot of time in my hand. After going down the FX I decided to slow my pace and take a look around me, observe the people walking by, passing through. No point in this really but merely observe. Today, majority of people walking have black pants, possibly of corporate offices, they walk fast seemingly to catch the time. Hair styles for men are mostly those fad mushroom like styles where they comb from the back middle on all directions then from their bangs they comb it upward then put on a gel or something to make it stay that way, neat and clean (and mediocre actually). Most women of stereotype office has their black pants and the blaziers(?) which is normal of an office attire. Mostly of them are in a rush of course. But there are those who seems to be taking their time as well. There was this guy with an in-ear-phones on who is just there walking slow listening to his music.

There are familiar faces in the morning as well, there is this fat guy I always walk by as he goes in the opposite direction, he’s in his office attire and would always carry some plastic bags with him aside from his own bag. I dunno why he carries a lot of things but he’s sorta a clock for me which means it’s around 7:40 am.

What’s the point of this actually, nothing, I just have too much time on my hands and thought of people watching. Or maybe just to see how people go by their routines. ROUTINES somehow I loathe them. They they keep order of of some menial task yes, but if it keeps hold of you, you’ll be sort of a zombie without even knowing it.

Visual Poetry re-launches

Another year is here and to kick it off for this site is to open a new section Visual Poetry. Well it’s not actually new in concept as I had done this before wayback during the sites earlier incarnations and just thought of putting it back in action now with a dynamic backend to that. Yeah experimented with my PHP/SQL programming skills on this one during the last few days of the holiday season vacation. So please take a look and participate as well. Will be adding a commenting system on each of the works soon.

Then again, happy new year to all!!!!

Which Mythological Form Are You?

vamp
You are Form 9, Vampire: The Undying.

“And The Vampire was all that remained on
the blood drowned creation. She attempted to
regrow life from the dead. But as she was
about to give the breath of life, she was
consumed in the flame of The Phoenix and the
cycle began again.”

Some examples of the Vampire Form are Hades (Greek)
and Isis (Egyptian).
The Vampire is associated with the concept of
death, the number 9, and the element of fire.
Her sign is the eclipsed moon.

As a member of Form 9, you are a very realistic
individual. You may be a little idealistic,
but you are very grounded and down to earth.
You realize that not everything lasts, but you
savor every minute of the good times. While
you may sometimes find yourself lonely, you
have strong ties with people that will never be
broken. Vampires are the best friends to have
because they are sensible.
