Behind Ironwulf.net: En Route
ABOUT THE SITE

Ironwulf.net: En Route is a Travel and Photography Blog of Pinoy Backpacker, Adventure and Budget Traveler Ferdinand Decena, an award-winning photographer and blogger. The site aims to chronicle my travels across the country and different parts of the world. To bring back stories and images that would inspire more people to start their foray into their own adventure and discover how amazing our planet is. It’s all about the journey, the stunning vistas, the people, the food and finding yourself amidst all of these.
Ironwulf started late 2001 as a portfolio site to showcase works from web, graphic design and illustrations. By 2003 it eventually turned into a full fledged blog coming from MovableType, Blogger and finally Wordpress. The design has gone through several incarnations reflecting both my skill as a web designer, photographer and travel writer until it currently settles to the theme En Route.

PHOTOGRAPHIC GEARS
Most of the Photos on this site were taken by my Olympus gears. My first Olympus DSLR was the Olympus e-500 which was the lightest camera system ideal for travel way back in 2005. I now have 2 DSLRS for use, the Olympus E-520 (left), a feature rich serious best-value DSRL and the Pro Spec Olympus E-3 (middle). The Olympus DSLR E-420 (right) which is the world’s smallest and lightest DSLR I was able to use for a while. My favorite lens of use is the Olympus Zuiko 12-60mm (24-120mm) f2.8-4 SWD High Grade Lens.
