Podium Parking

Look at the heat! Testing my new cheap camera phone Motorola C650 at the Podium Mall Parking Lot. Pics a bit fuzzy I think.

It’s just so damn hot lately that going out in the streets when the sun is up is inviting a headache as a resident in your head. Not to mention the un-ending sweat trickling down while waiting for the MRT train to arrive. It’s a horror when you find out that the train cart you got into has a broken aircon. Arrgh!! The Mall is quite a comfort but when all the crowd decided to go there, their collective body heat somehow manages to render the mall’s aircon useless.

Last Monday was a national non-working holiday as declared by GMA last Friday. It was kind of surprising because the original “Labor Day” fell on a Sunday. I guess GMA wants to look “good” again and declares Monday a holiday. Well I have no complaints on that. But that weekend, I was looking for a place to go. Was supposed to go to Baguio with a couple of friends of mine, but that didn’t push through. Thought it was a bit expensive since I’m trying to save some dough. The other half of the lakbay group were enjoying the sights in Bicol and swam with the butandings. I couldn’t go because of work so I stayed in the Metro. And tried to find some way to beat the heat.

TIP Pool

A pool in Arlegui St., Manila. In front of TIP, behind CEU. They said it’s where the CEU students practice their swimming PE subject.

A college friend of mine invited me to swim in a pool in Manila. Manila? I never thought there were some swiming pool there. Well I took it on and decided to go there. Well it wasn’t the best pool I’ve been to but hey, I stayed there swimming doing some breast strokes and some underwater dolphin swims for more than 5 hours. And what do I get after? Really sore shoulders. Hehehe. But I really did enjoy swimming in a pool again, that I decided to add this to my regular weekend activities if I have nothing planned. Especially now that I have to rest my feet from my regular runs. I have been suffering from some sort of foot pain or what they call a pantar fasciitis on my left foot after running for more than 10 continues laps at a field. It’s a bit disappointing really since I love running, but my feet seems to disagree. Already bought new running shoes, I think my old one’s already lost it’s shock absorption capabilities. Anyways, let’s see if my feet would recover after a few weeks, in the meantime I’ll be swimming at the nearby Rainforest Park in Pasig or the Marikina Sports Complex, whichever suits.
