Wow, didn’t know this Zoo was featured last Sunday in Korina Sanchez’s show. So that’s why a lot of people are looking for it. Well here’s some gal’s comment on my earlier blog, she (thanks Lorna) has this site with Pics of the area and very helpful directions as well:

I took a lot of photos in Avilon Zoo and have created a simple website to share some of them (www.geocities.com/avilon_zoo). Construction is still on-going, but site is already viewable. Yes, Avilon Zoo is great, really worth the trip. And yes, you won’t get lost, there are a lot of signboards soon as you “land” in Montalban. There are 3 routes to Montalban (now, Rodriguez, Rizal). One is via Marikina-from “Bayan” area go to JP Rizal Avenue straight to San Mateo, the next town is Montalban. Another is via Commonwealth going to Fairview-right turn to SandiganBayan, then along Batasan Pambansa gate, right turn to a road leading down to San Mateo. Third route is from Commonwealth Litex-pass Payatas, and about 15-20 minutes travel time, you make a right turn to Montalban Hway. Down the road, pass the bridge you see Mercury Drug and take a left turn. From there, you get to Avilon Zoo in less than 15 minutes. (Btw, I live in the area.)

Well hope this helps. Try going there when it’s not raining so the animals would be roaming around. If it rains, it’s cold, if it’s cold they sleep. Hehehe. So enjoy your time there folks, entrance is Php 180.00 per person.
