After an exhilarating adventure at Lussok Cave, I was eager to cool off and wash away the grime from spelunking. My next destination was the stunning Bayugao Falls, located just 13 kilometers away from the cave within Luna, Apayao (about 6.5 km from the Luna Municipal Hall). The road to Bayugao was mostly paved, making for a smooth ride, though the last 300 meters to the jump-off point were a bit rough, adding a touch of adventure to the journey.

As we arrived, a light drizzle began to fall, adding a magical touch to the already breathtaking scenery. The rainfall made the waterfall’s flow more intense than usual, creating a powerful and mesmerizing sight. Bayugao Falls revealed itself as a beautiful three-tiered cascade, with natural pools at each level. The sound of the rushing water echoed through the area, amplifying the sense of awe.

I couldn’t resist capturing the moment, taking photos that highlighted the raw power and beauty of the falls. The mist from the cascading water combined with the drizzle, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere. After snapping some shots, I decided to take a dip in the lower basin, where the water was calmer and safer. The cool, refreshing water was exactly what I needed to rinse off the grime from my earlier cave exploration.

Reaching Bayugao Falls

Though I was tempted to climb to the higher levels, the strong current made it too risky, so I stayed in the lower pool, enjoying the serene surroundings. Despite not reaching the upper tiers, the experience was unforgettable. The combination of the intense waterfall, the cool dip, and the tranquil environment made Bayugao Falls the perfect way to end a day of adventure.
